Independent & Family Run

We are an independent, family owned and run funeral director based in Alness, Muir of Ord and Dornoch, covering the Ross-shire area and throughout the Scotland Highlands, established in 2005.

Mairi started the company, on her own initially, to provide a caring, sensitive service to the community she has lived in all her life.

As the company has grown, so has the workforce. Mairi and her son David are both company directors.

Sarah Crow, Suzee McClenaghan and Michael McClenaghan are Funeral Directors, employed to look after families and their loved ones from that first difficult phone call and to make all funeral arrangements.

Lesley Mackay and June Bowman look after our Alness office, while Lisa Hay looks after Muir of Ord. Our Dornoch office is open by appointment. We also have an experienced team of assistants who are invaluable to us, who assist us in all our day to day duties.

In 2011 we acquired D.J. MacLennan & Son, Muir of Ord and Mackay & Macaskill, Dornoch which means we now provide funeral services throughout the Highlands and beyond.

We feel very proud to be able to look after your loved one with respect and dignity, and we are dedicated to providing the highest level of service.
