Daphne Jill Tibbits OBE formerly of Nottinghamshire, Dorset and Yorkshire, passed away suddenly but peacefully at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness on Tuesday 27th July 2021 while staying with her niece in Muir of Ord.

Jill was the devoted sister of the late Betty, John and Janet, the much loved aunt of Chris, Hugh, Mark, Helen, Steve, Fran, Sarah, Cathy, Lucy, Mary, Kate and Jon, and a doting great aunt many times over.

Jill had an exceptionally caring, unassuming career in the Probation Service culminating in her appointment as Chief Probation Officer for Surrey. Upon retirement she continued to work tirelessly as a volunteer for Victim Support (amongst many others) and as a founding member of the First Dorset Credit Union.

Jill’s Funeral service will held at the East Church, Muir of Ord, commencing at 11:45 am on Friday 6th August.
